Position description: Cashiers are responsible for displaying a professional, pleasant attitude to all customers. Cashiers scan customers selected items for purchase, provide purchase transactions, and ensure proper handling of American currency, debit and credit card purchases. This position requires excellent skills in English. This position will provide the opportunity to work directly with the public and gain skills in American customer service. Students may be expected to work in other areas of the store as directed by management.

Additional Description: Our family has a farm market on the Door County peninsula that sells jams, salsa, pies, and more out of the fruit that we grow. We need cashiers to work on one of two teams in the retail part of our store: on our food sales team (where you will assist customers with purchasing premade coffee, smoothies, fudge, bakery and other goodies) or on our retail sales team (where you will work as a cashiers, assisting customers with their purchases and stocking product in the displays). We hope you will join us for a summer of hard work and fun!

In the area: A local group provides bi-monthly activities through Bridges, an international outreach, that students will have the opportunity to be involved in. They will have the option to have an American host family that will act as a support/way to get to know American culture better during their stay in the U.S.

Provided by Host: Boat trip to Washington Island, local Fyr Ball Festival, 4th of July get together with food and fireworks, Northern Sky outdoor theater, cookout at family dock, carving pumpkins and hay maze in the fall.
