Position description: Cashiers are responsible for displaying a professional, pleasant attitude to all customers. Cashiers scan customers selected items for purchase, provide purchase transactions, and ensure proper handling of American currency, debit and credit card purchases. This position requires excellent skills in English. This position will provide the opportunity to work directly with the public and gain skills in American customer service. Students may be expected to work in other areas of the store as directed by management.

Additional Description: Working as a cashier at Nagley's Store involves customer service as our number one priority. You will also stock, make coffee and clean throughout your shifts as needed.

In the area: You will have opportunity to meet colorful locals and other people from around the world - climbers, bush pilots, river guides come here to refuel and relax after their journeys. In addition, the business serves many clients of large cruise ships and other travel and tour companies who visit our community. Talkeetna, Alaska is a small historic town located on the national register of historic places, located 60 air miles to the gates of Denali National Park. It attracts thousands of tourists from May to September. The Alaska Railroad stops twice daily, traveling from Fairbanks and Anchorage with stops in Denali National Park. During the summer the sun shines 22 hours per day.
