Position description: Servers are responsible for waiting on customers, answering questions, writing down lunch and dinner orders, serving food and drinks, refilling water, dealing with U.S. currency, and setting and clearing tables.
Additional Description: Working with a fun and motivated team, in a very high end environment. Server duties include: setting up the Dining Room; preparing tables for service; greeting members; taking orders; suggesting menu items and wines; serving and clearing tables; making drinks. Lunch is served daily, buffet dinner is served three times per summer and parties and events are served on average one to two times per week. The successful candidate may be asked to assist, as needed, in various other hospitality duties including bar-tending, operating the on course beverage cart and assisting in the Ladies or Men’s Member Locker Rooms. Shinnecock is a fantastic place to work and the host of the 2018 U.S. Open Championship.
