Position description: Kitchen Helpers are responsible for washing and re-shelving dishware and glassware, emptying garbage, sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down food service tables, cleaning appliances, chopping vegetables, and assisting the cook. The kitchen area at times may have high humidity and temperatures.

Additional Description: Primarily Responsible for Operating and maintain cleaning equipment and tools. Also responsible for washing dishes, china ware, flatware, cutlery, crockery, kitchen vessels, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning and detailing equipment's etc. Maintains the kitchen, dish washing and back area in an inspection-ready condition in accordance with local authority and hotel guidelines.

In the area: Mackinac Island is a unique place located between Michigan's rugged upper and lower peninsulas where Lake Huron and Lake Michigan meet. There are no motor vehicles on the Island, which is accessible only by ferry, plane and private watercraft - no rush hour, no commute and clean air welcome you for your summer of work and play! Mackinac is made for the outdoors person. 80% of the Island is a State Park with an excellent trail system perfect for mountain biking, trail running, and hiking. The trails are also open to horseback riding. There are two golf courses on the island as well as public tennis courts. And don’t forget about the water! Mackinac is located where Lake Michigan and Lake Huron meet.
