Position description: Sales Helpers are responsible for interacting with customers in an effort to provide them with a high quality shopping experience, handling US currency, and attending to non-sales related duties (i.e. cleaning, merchandising, inventory management).
Additional description: We have fun while working and thus create a friendly shop for all of our team and for our visitors. Whether you prefer a role as a Sales Helper, Cashier, and/or Stock person, you will learn to greet and help the visitors in our shop.
*We offer up to a $500.00 bonus to anyone who works through their "end date" as hired and who follows our employee handbooks.
We all pitch in to keep the shop merchandised, to assist customers with their purchases, to keep the shop and backrooms clean and organized, and also to re-stock items that have sold. We keep busy and enjoy our time getting tasks done. Our Sales Helpers with more limited language skills will learn how to greet and assist customers and will have improved English skills as they work with us. We have learning aids to help you translate words commonly used in our shops. Anyone who excels at their job and brings an excellent work ethic to the job will be rewarded with a raise in pay and offered more than 40 hours per week (overtime is paid at time and a half).
In the area: The shops are located by Rocky Mountain National Park, and surrounded by amazingly beautiful mountains. In addition to outdoor opportunities provided by the national park, participants will also be able to enjoy the local YMCA for swimming. Hiking, photography, camping, horseback riding, and rafting are extremely popular. Additional activities include: go-cart/miniature golf areas, golf courses, public library, a variety of restaurants, and several art & music festivals.
Provided by Host: Cultural Events: -join in the fun and shop with your co-workers at the Farmers' Market every Thursday, located a block from work. -listen to free music around the campfire; we sponsor Brad Fitch, a musician/songwriter who entertains in the park across from our shop (he plays guitar and sings a lot of John Denver songs around the campfire) -wander through the local artisan market days on Mondays; the artists show and sell their own creations -join us as we walk to the Fourth of July festivities; featuring the fireworks over Lake Estes. -admire the horses and riders at the many horse shows during the summer -the rodeo arrives in town shortly after July 4th, and we all watch the parade as the real cowboys and cowgirls ride their horses right past our shops. -hike in beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park; shuttles go to RMNP from downtown Estes Park. We enjoy Pizza Days (pizza provided for "lunch time"), Donut Days, and Cookie Days as special times to share with co-workers.
