Position description: Housekeepers are responsible for cleaning rooms, vacuuming, changing linens and towels, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, and doing laundry. This position can be physically demanding and you may be required to use chemical cleaning products.

Additional description: The Adirondack Lodging Co. is a family-owned business offering mutliple similar cabin & hotel style properties to vacation travelers visting beautiful Lake George, NY, located in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains. We treat our summer staff like our own family. Work with us and our children (they are teens and adults) this summer, the whole family helps! When we have some free time, we take our staff to see different places and help them get experiences with things that interest them. We have more than one property in the immediate area, which allows for full time work each week, and sometimes overtime hours. Our properties offer lots of amenities available to the Employees as well, including: Pools, suana, game room, beach, boats, boat docks, picnic and BBQ, outdoor games, outdoor fire & gathering places and much more. The Housekeeping tasks are to clean and prepare rooms between guest departures and new arrivals, as well as to keep up the common areas of the property on a regular basis. Duties include making beds, sweeping, mopping and vacuuming the rooms, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, restocking toiletries and supplies. Laundry duties include using laundry machines for washing, drying and folding towels and linens. Staff will help make sure cabins and suites are decorated nicely, check for damages, ensure that all supplies are offered to guests. Staff are able to assist with keeping the outside of the property cleaned such as lawn clipping and weeding, and all staff have the opportunity to perform other duties to earn extra income. Employees with moderate to strong English skills have the opportunity to work directly with customers. This position is very important - the cleanliness safety of the property both inside and out is the most important aspect of the guest experience. Next, all of our staff have the opportunity to interact daily with our guests, who very often enjoy getting to know our staff and share experiences with them. English proficiency is wonderful to bring with you, but is not a requirement to work here however. We help the guests have a wonderful time on their vacations, and work daily to provide them with what they need. But more than that, when the guests visit us on vacation, they seek a larger experience interacting with new people in a relaxing environment. Our staff and crew is a big part of that experience. We have housing available. Staff seeking free housing may have an opportunity to apply to be an "on-site" leadership person where they stay, as a resource to guests or the owners and to help oversee the property.  Though arrival and departure dates may be flexible, we are seeking candidates who are able start work between May 1 and June 10, and who can return to their countries between the end of August and October 31.  When considering this offer, please take into consideration that all staff will have the opportunity to work in various aspects of the business and at all of the properties, allowing for a broader more dynamic experience than offered at single-site locations. In the area: There is an inexpensive shuttle that transports students into the nearby towns where there are many shops, restaurants, musical events etc. We also have a vehicle that qualified, licensed drivers may utilize.

We are pleased to take our visiting students to areas of interest, or bring them along with our family to enjoy the area to do outdoor things like sporting events or opportunities to participate in recreational sports, boating on Lake George, hiking, adventure, the Rodeo, music concerts, group team building, travel, etc.
