Position description: Fast Food Crews are responsible for cash register responsibilities, cleaning, cooking, sandwich preparation, and the opening and closing of the restaurant.

Additional Description: Prepare food, cook food, serve customers, clean workstation, clean restaurant. We take orders at the counter, like fast food, but we often take food out to customer, so some customer contact. You will be asked to learn many different positions, so it is not the same job every day. You will always have one or two days off each week do whatever you like.

In the area: Every other week, your employer will take you on a field trip, to places like the local caves, Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, and many other places in the scenic areas of South Dakota. Most of our customers are tourists from all over the USA and many like to talk to our employees about where you come from because they are as interested in you as you are about the USA. Because Custer is a small town, you can get around the whole town by walking, and by bicycle. There are many international students from numerous countries here in the summer and many opportunities to make friends and socialize. Sometimes students share a cab ride to our nearest big city, Rapid City, for another experience and for entertainment.

Provided by Host: We ask each student to bring local pictures from the area around their home or college to share with the other students. We also sponsor parties and participate in a whole town parade. We offer field trips to local attractions such as Mount Rushmore.
