Position description: Cooks are responsible for preparing and cooking food orders per recipe guidelines. Cooks prepare batters, meat dishes and vegetables. Cooks provide back up to the line during busy hours, including restocking and maintaining workstations to assure plenty of product is always available. Cooks clean all workstations at the end of the day, sweeping and mopping of floors.
Additional Description: We are looking for a cook to prepare delicious meals according to menu. You will cook dishes that will delight our customers with their taste and timely delivery. If you do not have prior experience we are more than happy to train you the "Treeland Way" how to cook. Applicant must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals. As well as work well with a team, and help out wherever is needed. In addition to $10 - $12 per hour pay, the position also includes FREE LODGING, bonus pay at end of the season and overtime pay when applicable.
In the area: Hayward, WI is a tourist town situated in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin. Treeland Resort is located on the Chippewa Flowage, Wisconsin's largest wilderness lake boasting countless miles of natural shoreline, bountiful wildlife and a world-class fishery. Employees can get out and explore the lake on resort provided kayaks, paddleboats or canoes at no cost. In addition, they can also rent motor boats and explore the lake. In addition, there are many little shops on Hayward's Main Street, as well as the National Fishing Hall of Fame. Hayward is also the golf capital of Wisconsin, therefore offering a large variety of golfing to interested students (special student rates are available through affiliation with Treeland's). There are also many rivers students can tube down which is a popular summer activity. As well as hiking waterfalls, the American Birkebeiner trail system, the CAMBA mountain biking trail system and so on. Furthermore, there are a few different competitive sport events that draw thousands of competitors from all around the world. These events are fun to watch, volunteer or compete in! These events include, but are not limited to: the Fat Tire Festival, American Birkebeiner Trail Run, Lumberjack World Championships, various fishing tournaments throughout the area (as well as hosted by Treeland's). In addition to sporting events, the town hosts a few different festivals throughout the seasons, such as the Musky Festival, Fall Festival, 4th of July festivities, etc.
