Position description: Cleaners are responsible for working for a cleaning service in a highly touristy location, usually by the beach, and cleaning client rental properties and homes as needed. Job duties may include sweeping, mopping, cleaning dishes, garbage removal, laundry, etc. Students should expect to handle cleaning products on a daily basis.
Additional Description: A combination of housekeeping, grounds and pool maintenance and guest services in the lobby/front desk. About 30% of our guests leave tips in the rooms that are shared among the people working in housekeeping on that day. Some morning/afternoon shifts, and some afternoon/evening shifts. Our employees have the opportunity to earn monthly pay increases based on performance evaluations. Employees who return for a second summer season will start at, or above the pay rate that they had at the end of their fist summer season with us.
In the area: The opportunities for American cultural experiences are plentiful in Grand Lake. We serve guests from around America, and especially from the American West who provide pleasant and often fascinating opportunities for conversation and learning. Grand Lake offers a unique downtown district with Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre, fun shops and restaurants. We are nearby to Rocky Mountain National Park, and Arapaho National Forest for a variety of outdoor activities ranging from easy to highly challenging. We have abundant wildlife, three lakes, and the headwaters of the Colorado River for boating, fishing, and rafting. There are several music festivals and concerts here in Grand County each summer. Denver, and the Front Range of Colorado are about 90 minutes away for large city shopping and restaurants, with world famous Red Rocks Amphitheater for large concerts on the west side of Denver. This is a wonderfully beautiful area that will stay with you forever.
